Budget spent without knowing what works

The spending is known, the result is not
Most businesses set aside a monthly budget for the digital side: ads, social media, website hosting. How much is spent is clear. How many customers that spending brings in is often unknown.
So next month's decision is made by guessing. A channel that works may be cut while one that does not keeps running, and nobody notices.
Three things you can track yourself
You do not need a complicated tool to start measuring.
1. One question for every new customer. Ask each new customer "how did you hear about us?" and write the answer down. Counting the answers at the end of the month is the cheapest measurement of which channel works.
2. A separate trace for each channel. You can add a pre-filled message such as "I'm writing from your website" to the WhatsApp button on your site. Use a different pre-filled message on your Instagram link, and the first line of each message tells you which channel it came from.
3. Your Google Business Profile's own numbers. The performance section of your profile shows, month by month, how many searches found you, how many people asked for directions and how many clicked through to your site. The numbers are already there; most owners simply never open that page. We covered the fields most often left empty in The fields most often left empty on your Google profile.
What changes once the numbers build up
A business owner who tracks these three things for three months starts to see which spending brings customers instead of guessing. Decisions change with it: part of the budget moves from the channel that does not work to the one that does.
How we handle it
You see the results of what we build in numbers every month: how many visitors came, how many got in touch and what each channel brought in.
We do not promise results we cannot measure. Everything we can measure goes into the report.
