What does an account left empty for months tell visitors?

Your account also says whether you are open
Many people who find a business on Google also check its Instagram account. The first thing they see there is the date of the last post.
If that post is eight months old, the first question on the visitor's mind is not about the content: "Is this place still open?" If the account had never existed, they might not have asked.
Why accounts go quiet
Accounts are usually opened with enthusiasm. In the first week there is a post every day, then work gets in the way. Posting drops to once a week, once a month, and one day it stops altogether.
The problem usually comes from starting at a pace nobody can keep up.
Choosing a pace you can keep
An account that posts a little but regularly looks more alive than one that posts a lot now and then. It helps to answer these questions before starting:
- Realistically, how many minutes a week do you have for content?
- Who will post? What happens when that person is on leave?
- What content do you already have? Before-and-after shots of your work, your team, a question customers ask often.
One post a week is a good start, as long as it happens every week.
The rest of the profile matters too
Even without posts, the top of the profile carries information. Are the opening hours, address and contact link in the bio current? Does the link still lead to a working page? This check takes ten minutes.
How we handle it
Social media management and content production are part of our social media marketing work. The posting calendar comes from the business's real work; we do not guess what to post, we decide it with you.
We do not promise follower numbers or engagement. The account being run regularly, and the number of messages that come through it, are in the report every month.
